Dear Toyota, please fix this in the next production year of the 4Runner

1. Please illuminate the following switches, there is no reason they don't light up at night:
- The mirror switches
- The sunroof switches
- The rear window switch

2. Bring back the "crotch" vent that is in the 3rd generation 4runner, it will be a blessing for all those with Softex

3. Please fix the glove box light, there is no reason why it will only come on when the headlights are on, that's just lazy engineering. You are smarter than that.

4. Speaking of lights, why isn't there one in the armrest storage compartment?

5. Is it that hard to provide memory settings in the Premium package? This is available in the Limited so the R&D is already done. :suspicious:

6. Remove the "Eco" bar, it's pointless. Could have used that R&D somewhere else. It doesn't even work when on Cruise Control.

7. This truck is amazing off-road and will go places, can we please have an Clinometer instead of that shitty Eco display?

8. Can the navigation screen have it's own ambient light sensor so it can go from Day/Night mode independent of the headlight setting?

9. Bring back the Multi-information display in the center console. Not sure why that was removed to begin with.

10. Can you give us non-Limited owners the ability to roll down the tailgate window via the remote instead of manually using the key?

11. Give me storage for my sunglasses. Put it on the door, put it on the roof, I don't care, just put it somewhere it's easily accessible.

12. The USB and Aux input jacks need to be lit at night.

13. What are the point of the two cubby holes in the center console, at least angle them slightly downwards so items don't fall or roll out.

Am I missing any other changes you guys would like to see?

Right?

Turns on headlights during the day because it's raining and you want to be safe.

Can no longer read the dash.

Items 6 and 10 are just settings that can be changed at your dealer or on your own with Carista etc.

Are you positive about the window?

The Eco light can be removed via carista. The back window or sunroof don't roll down when the window option is set in carista. You can make the dash lights go full brightness by turning the brightness wheel next to the steering wheel all the way up until it clicks

You roll the dashboard light dial all the way up until it clicks and will give you day settings for the nav screen at full brightness.

that's not the point though, why can't it be independent?

14. Bring back the hand brake. Foot brakes are for minivans.

Change the remote start to allow the driver to start the car, and when the door is opened, if the key is present, the engine continues to run.

Make it easier to show the current speed limit on the home page of the touch screen display.

Allow the voice GPS to search for a town, without having to search for a specific address. For example, if I'm driving in west Texas and want to know how far it is to Midland, I'd like to use the voice commands to set that as a destination and see the arrival time without having to put in a specific address.

Improve the seals around the doors and lights in the tailgate. My new 4Runner spends a decent amount of time on unpaved roads, and it lets in so much more dust than my old one.

Everyone may already know this and it's not as convenient as a separate sensor, but putting the dimmer to the dimmest position until it clicks will turn the brightness to the day setting when the headlights are on.

Dear Consumer,

The 4runners sell like hotcakes regardless of these requests. So as long as were still making a ton of money and outselling the competition, we don't care to fix or update these things.

Love,
Mr Toyota

Eco light can be turned off in settings. The bar cannot.
