Need advice for Bilstein 5100 and toytec rear coils
 

I did some searching but it seems like everyone has a different set up or gen then my runner. Is anyone with a 5th gen running Bilstein 5100 max front and back with Toytec RCC2.0P. Any pictures and what is the final ride height? 2 or 2.5 lift? Thanks

I have a Toytec Ultimate that includes 5100 bilstein's with 650# front springs, and Toytec Superflex rear coils with extended length Bilstein 5100's.

There are quite a few people running that combo. Bilsteins set at 2.5" up front and a toytec 2" lift spring in the rear. Of course you will still have some rake only taking out .5", but at least you will get rid of some. Can't help you on pics, but i don't think you would be disappointed... just remember that some rake will still be left! That's why you see people that go 2.5" up front usually go 1.5" in the rear, unless they carry equipment, etc. quite a bit.

do you think i should also change out the front springs to toyotec also to help with the rake? Any model in general I should look at? I wanted a more level look and I figured going coils in the long run was better than spacers.

Just out of curiosity, have you considered the Eibach Pro Truck Lift? It comes with front and rear springs and shocks. The front is 2.75” and rear is 1”. The front is also adjustable for when you had more weight. It’s all engineered together so you know that everything is designed to work together. Check out the Eibach Lift thread. I have pictures of my lift on my 2019 TRD ORP.

I wanted to keep the bilstien 5100 since they are less than a half a year old. Im also planing on buying another 4runner soon so the Eibach could be a option for that. thanks bro for the advice and pics looks good

Coils are definitely better than spacers. If you wanted to keep the bilsteins at 2.5" up front and use coils (which is definitely better than spacers), I would look at Wheelers coils or Dobinsons coils. If you aren't stuck on having 2" lift in the back they have 1.5" options, if i'm not mistaken, and it would get your rake where you want it, along with doing it correctly with coils.

Just really depends what you are wanting to go with but I have seen a lot of our customers go with this option. You just might want to pair the back with toytec boss ones since it accommodates for 1 to 3 inches of lift. Let me know if I can be any assistance, I'm Anthony over here at toyteclifts.

I have the Toytec Superflex 2" rear (RCC2.0) paired with Bilstein 5160's. I don't really mind the rake with the approx. 3" front lift I have - but it's def noticable IMO. Anything less than 3" up front, paired with the 2" lift in the rear will be a lot more noticable.

My gripe with these rear springs/shock combo, is the nasty hop it has while going over bumps. My intention is and always has been to purchase a steel rear bumper/swing away tire carrier. But how it rides right now, you basically have to bring it under 5mph so the rear doesn't bounce like crazy!! - unless you like that sort of thing :girl:

If I could to it all over again, I would have gone with the 1.5" springs by Bilstein pictured below my rig...

Thanks for the advice! yeah, I'm thinking about changing the front to toytec also to match the back and add the top spacer they sell. My only concern is that both the wife and I use the car so being 3' off the ground is uncharted waters. I also didn't want to spend the cash for UCAs if I didn't need too. The runner is mainly a work and Sunday beach car here in Hawaii. I hate to say it but its a pavement princess

Aloha Anthony, if I upgrade my front and get the spring with the top hat wont I need to change my UCAs? That was my only concern about going that route. Whats the cost for the front springs with the top hat shipped? Is there a discount for forum members and since I live in Hawaii shipping is a huge concern. Can you please pm me a quote?

I say if it's mainly for pavement, then don't worry about the UCA's. I bought the UCA's in the chance that I may swap out front suspension with beefier coilovers & wanted that clearance + articulation.

It all really matters about what your end game thought process is. Are you planning on running larger tires than the stock 265's? With any lift over 1.5" up front, I sure hope so.

Yes to bigger tires. Im looking at doing 275/285 in the future. But i plan to run the stocks for now to make use of the tires and save some money. So in the end I wanted to
1-lift my runner 2'-3'
2-have a leveled look
3-go with bigger tires
4-not replace the UCAs if possible

set up in a week will be Bilstien 5100 1.75 front w/stock springs and UCAs. Bilstiens in the rear w/toytec super flex rear coils, getting rid of the daystar rear spacer.

what you guys think?

I vote 1.5" rear springs - especially with 1.75" lift up front. It'll be more level looking rather than a$$ high.

Looks like I’m going to be buying toytec front springs and plate to match the rear coils. You guys think I need new UCAs? I was also going to run 275/285 tires with TRD wheels. I can’t have my runner ass high 🤔🥺
