Been a while since I logged on here and posted anything. Was doing my summer cleaning and figured I would post. My 2011 T4R, Limited has 154000 miles and still going strong. Not a single issue! Love it!

Are you on the original shocks and control arms bushings?

Our 2008 Subaru Tribeca is now at 152,000. I don't call shocks replacement an issue but we replaced the factory ones at 145,000. I replaced the control arms just a little earlier (easier than just bushings).

Still on the original

Yes, still on the original shocks and control arms. Have only done the regular maintenance and changed the tires once. My mechanic has not recommended that change as yet.

Why did you get your changed? Was there an issue with the Subaru's shocks and control arms? Did you notice any changes that caused you to change them?

Looks great. What tires are you running now. We have a 2018 Limited as well as a 2019 SR5P. After my first tire rotation on the Limited, I'm starting to consider what tires I'll eventually buy to replace the factory Yokohamas.

Am using Michelin ms2 LTX I believe (can confirm tomorrow). These tires are bigger than the factory originals. But, the ride is great. I swapped my Yokohamas out at 60 K and put these on. The first four lasted until 153K (almost 90K). Just put these on (exact same ones as the ones that lasted 90K).

Clean! Looking forward to seeing how my 'Runner holds in Year 8/Year 9. Routine maintenance does make a significant difference. For me, its worth the small cost(s) upfront instead of dealing with something more sudden/costly down the road.

amazing. as long as you keep up the maintenance, should last you a long time. The car looks amazing. Did you ceramic coat it or do you wax it regularly?

Drobs 08-11-2019 07:08 AM

Time to add some modifications...

I couldn't agree more. Doing the basic maintenance has definitely helped. BTW, love your trail 4R.

There was a time when I used to wax it twice a year. That became hard with little kids. Nowadays, I get it professionally detailed once a year and the treatment seems to last for the whole year. The detailer uses high quality products. I then wash it regularly by hand.

Totally agree

Agree! Have wanted to add mods, but time, money, and other priorities have gotten in the way constantly. At the very very least, I want to get rid of those running boards!!! With the kids- I dont see that happening though.:help:
