2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture Edition Gears Up For Adventure

I think that a more proper name is....2020 Vulture Edition...seeing how Toyota uses these editions to pry cash from even a dead person if they had to!

I wonder what the additional rear storage they mention is. No photos of it.

That black rear spoiler is fugly.

Yeah you are right

Isn't this just one of those regional edition like the XP?

Yes I believe that's the case. There's another threat about this here.

Brage 10-25-2019 08:30 PM

I was seriously confused by the XP edition when I first moved to SC. Had no clue that there are regional trims.

It seems like Southeast Toyota and Gulf Coast States Toyota regions do a lot of the regional trims. I lived in AL, FL and TX and saw a lot of them. They're pretty disgusting IMO. Usually just a 2WD SR5 with grills, 20" XD Wheels, AT's, and maybe a puck lift for an additional $5k. I guess enough people are buying them to keep it going.

Yeah. Didn’t take long to realize that it was basically an appearance package. A ton of them running around down here.

jimgsmith 10-27-2019 02:54 PM

I don’t think this is a regional edition. Seems to be a new trim level available everywhere.

Don't blame Toyota, blame the idiots that pay inflated prices. Just like the $10,000 fair market adjustment on the TRD Pro. Idiots pay it so why not charge it?

Well to be fair, Pros also come in exclusive colors unavailable to other trim levels, and generally have all of the other 'upgraded' bells and whistles beyond any other model with the added convenience of not having to wrench it yourself.

That being said, NOBODY should pay MSRP on a Pro. Even with all said upgrades, there is still plenty of outdated tech that is generally inexcusable for the price (infotainment comes to mind immediately).

Price negotiating works well in one's favor if you know how to do it. Pay what it's worth for the upgraded accessories and that's it.

Yeah man. I'm in Columbia and see XP's every other day. I wasn't familiar with the regional trim practice, I thought they existed everywhere.

It’s got the plastic blacked out, different wheels and another cosmetic change that I cannot recall. That’s according to my salesman. Nothing special.
