Largest battery group that fits?
What's the largest battery I can fit in a 3rd gen? 34r?
|
35's also fit. They normally have higher CCA's.

You can fit a 31 with a new tray
|
I too am leaning toward one battery, and the biggest one can physically fit. I like Dirtco's choice, here.
https://www.toyota-4runner.org/2378583-post39.html Edit/Add: As for me, I made a rather impulse purchase a couple years back while in The Home Depot, an Exide Global Extreme, 24FX. 960 CA 800 CCA 69.6 Ah 120 RC 40 months Those specs, with a 40 month warranty, for 75 bucks, pretty good I felt... |

27f is by far the easiest direct fit swap for a slightly larger battery. Slightly wider than 24f, same post oreintation and other dimensions are the same.
