1989 body swap to 1985 chassis

I have a 1989 4runner with a near perfect body that I would like to do a body swap onto my 1985 4runner chassis. ( body has severe rust.) Problem is the 89 was a 3.0 V6 engine with automatic transmission and the 1985 is a 22RE with a 5 speed. How much of the 89 wiring harness under the dash will have to be replaced. I have read that some say the complete harness will have to be replaced, anyone done this body swap before?

you would probably be better off swapping the harness, if I recall correctly there are some differences in the shapes of plugs etc. And with out the wiring diagram specific to each truck it would be difficult for some to say you only need to remove/cut the harness here etc

Other things to consider- front body mounts are going to be slightly different due the SA frame is slightly different than the IFS frame. That being said it is a fairly common swap
