Rear E-locker actuator help
 

I just got done working on my E-locker 3rd replacing trashed bearings, see pic. After everything was put back I couldn’t get the locker to work, and of course I forgot to test before working on it. The only issue I had working on the 3rd was forgetting to lock it before removal, had to jump it manually on the bench before getting the 3rd back in.

Things I have tried:
Removed the actuator and bench tested using a heater relay, actuator ran perfect. Free-lock and back
Plugged in uninstalled actuator and could not get any movement.
Disassembled actuator to test connector to limit contacts on plastic gear it checked out fine.
Tested resistance at 4WD(diff) ECU between motor leads and got <100 ohm.
Wire jumped diff lock sensor connector to fake a locked state, red rr locked stayed solid.

Have the truck set to ignition on, L4, N and 4wd button off. Also tried with 4wd button on not sure on where that needs to be.

All I get is the flashing rr lock diff light with no movement from the uninstalled actuator.

Any advice?

I'm getting ready to do the refresh myself. I watched a couple videos about it and one thing that only one of the videos pointed out was making sure that the mechanism that the actuator moves is all the way over in the unlocked position. Then hook up the artists to the actuator activate it a couple of times while not mounted.

Something about doing that supposedly set sit back in sync.

If you haven't tried that yet, I will get that a try. Also if you haven't done it I reckon mean doing the anytime locker mod. That way you don't have to worry about having the truck on or in 4lo to test it.

So you're saying it works on the bench, but not on the truck? Have you done any time locker mod?

Jack up the rear of the runner and rotate ONE wheel so that the locker can engage. hit the button and when nothing happens rotate one wheel. Also I "think" for the locker to engage it should be in 4x4 and 4lo.

Yes I can not get the actuator to work connected to the truck. But it does work when using the heater relay bench test.

I have not done the lock in any gear mod, don't want to cut any wires yet.

Also tried all the tricks to get the locker to lock before I took the actuator off. I think its just not telling the motor to run.

Is there a easy way to test the L4 switch? Is there a 4lo light? i just see green 4wd and red diff lock.

I agree with deves2, make sure you're rotating one rear wheel when actuating the rear diff lock. I have to do S turns or donuts to engage mine.
