Icon stage 2 with Icon wheels rubbing

Figured this was snow and ice, but I noticed in normal conditions I'm getting a lot of front tire rub on the rear mud flaps with 265/70/17 Wildpeaks with the Icon stage 2 extended travel lift. I wasn't getting the rubbing pre lift.

Not sure how normal that is? That it was wild for only being a 265 sized tire.

Parts installed:
- ICON 2003-UP Toyota 4Runner Adjustable Rear Track Bar
- ICON 2010-Current 4Runner Stage 2 Lift w/ Light Racing UCA's
- ICON Rebound 17" Wheel Titanium Matte Finish (0 offset 4.75 backspacing)

I was going to upgrade to 285's but if I'm rubbing at 265's it sounds like a disaster.

Any thoughts?

Those wheels look great on your rig. I hope you get it sorted out.

Just to clarify, pre-lift were you running the ICON wheels?

I had the wheels a few days before the lift and didn't notice any rubbing, but I guess I could've missed it. I figured 0 offset would be safe?

If your rubbing front flaps during lock to lock, perhaps set caster forward to 3.5 or 3.6.

Yeah it's just the front mud flaps, but it's enough to feel it in the steering wheel at full lock

this is ironic (i know not your specific wheel but it's the same thing) from icon website:

"Staying true to the ICON Alloys approach, the ALPHA has been engineered to maximize caliper clearance and optimize wheel position for un-hindered suspension travel and steering function. Backspace dimensions and wheel offset have been strategically developed to reduce scrub radius, improving all-around handling and ride quality and making a set of these wheels the perfect complement to an ICON Vehicle Dynamics suspension system."

You need to get that caster to 3.8- 4. Shouldn't be an issue with the SPC UCAs.
I also have Icon S2 (albeit running TRD wheels) with 285/70/17 RGs and have zero rub. My caster is at 4 with the same SPCs and drives great. I know all rigs are a little different, but you should be able to get there without removing the mud flaps. What are your coil overs set at?

I like negative camber, granted that's splitting hairs. Push the bottom of the tire out a bit.

Remove front mudflaps, trim the corners of the bumpers inside the fender well and push the fender liners forward.

This was required for me running 265/70r17s with a 1" front level, and 1.25 wheel spacers.

Extremely easy to do.

The coilovers are set at stock (what Icon set them to delivered)

Just figured it wouldn't be an issue with 265's at all.

Yeah I have no issues with cutting, just figured I wouldn't have to cut with zero offset and 265s.
