Audissey's 2020 SR5P Build - "Midnite"
 

Hey all, this is going to be the thread documenting the build on my 2020 SR5 Premium 4x4. The trucks name is "Midnite". There is a reggae band called Midnite and my favorite song from them is called "new life" and talks about his newborn child (I don't have kids so my attention goes to things like guitars or my 4Runner). In addition and probably the most significant reason for me naming it that, my 2013 SR5 was stolen from Matson shipping company in October 2019 (I moved from California back to Hawaii and shipped my car out of Long Beach, it never made it on the ship). I got some money from my insurance and was able to get the 2020 I have now and this will be my build diary. Hence, new truck / new life = midnite. Anyway...THANKS FOR LOOKING!

A little update as of 05/05/2020

I've since added a blacked out TRD Pro grille with smoked amber raptor lights, and blacked out emblems.

Then after about a month of ownership, a rat chewed my wiring harness. 6 weeks and about $2700 later, in the middle of a pandemic where as a full time solo musician / singer, I can't generate an income.

I finally got her back a couple weeks ago and have since picked up where I left off.

Last night (05/04), a buddy helped me chop my front bumper and I was able to snap this pic. I finish my rear lift tomorrow (I'm just going to drill the bushing in the 5125 I guess). Then a nice detail thursday and I'll try to snap some pics. For now, here is the finished front (kind of, the bottom left is a little off in this pic and we fixed it right after). I LOVE THE LOOK!! And no more rubbing 🙏🏽

Thanks! Yeah, trying to find a spot that isn't going to gouge me. Some of the quotes I've been getting for Ridge Grapplers are insane. Just tires no less than $1600 as much as $1980!! Luckily my buddy got back to me and is going to do it for $1336 out the door. Pretty happy with that compared to the others for sure. Thanks for the comment! Stoked to lift it on Sunday. Will post pics.

My friend works at the Hawaii Matson dock and does the car transfers. Yup, although they all get paid $150k per year, they steal all ur loose change, CD's, shades and I guess ur whole car too. Sorry to hear about that, at least u got a nice 2020.

Yeah bro, pretty crazy lol. But stoked on the 2020 and I was able to build my credit to the point where I'm paying less for this one than I would be if I still had my 2013 🤯

Do you know of any meetups coming up? Trying to get out with the rig.

There's a local group on Facebook and Instagram but I don't use those aps.

Updated the rig a bit since my last post. Had some issues with a rat chewing my engine wiring harness so the dealer had my truck for 6 weeks. Anyway, back to building her up amidst this global pandemic. Hope everyone is staying safe!
