Body Lift help ASAP
So i just finished installing the passenger side of my Toytec 1in body lift, and I'm stuck on the very front drivers side mount. It seems like the bolt is stuck inside of the sleeve at the bottom. Anyone know a way to fix this? I need to get new tires put on in about 4 hours and have been working at this one mount for almost an hour so far. Thanks.

I know this is late but the bolt should come out. Did you try to lift or lower the body seeing it was stuck? To see if the bolt would come out. Weird..it should lift up.

Sounds like you didnt take all the bolts out first and by doing this one last it is wedge in?

Maybe this video will help you out. When we did this job, we had no problems getting any of the bolts out. It might just be a slight corrosion problem and you need to give the bolt a little persuasion with a hammer or mallet to get it out.

Doing this right now actually, hopefully finishing today...
Since you got one side done, and it's 1" higher, or more if still jacked, it's possible the delta between the two sides has made for some binding. If you haven't already done so, raise and lower the two sides to see if it frees-up. Lightly tap upward on the end of what should be a pointy bolt. I imagine you did this on level ground, and if not, that too can introduce such dynamics... I have a winch control box in that spot on the passenger side that I might have to move, but it's plenty free, like the driver side that came-out with ease. I'm having a hard time removing the A-pillar plate attached to the frame perch with two bolts (14mm heads/15mm nuts). Cordless impact not cutting it, so I'll go air in a bit. It seems that many or all BL kits don't remove the factory rubber, so this might not be something the OP will need to do... |

I would also recommend doing body bushings while you're in there as well. Not a job you want to go back and do again!
