Cost to Install Bilsteins?

Hi Guys,

Looking to replace a set of stocker shocks with some Bilstein 5100s (5th Gen 4WD with KDSS). Just the shocks not the coils.

What is a typical cost to have a Toyota dealership install them?

I understand an alignment is recommended as well with getting shocks replaced?

Thanks much!
G

I did mine myself but I have seen rates around the $400-750 area depending on who you ask + about $100 for an alignment.

I would not have a dealer do the work only from a cost standpoint… it’s a pretty straight forward job and most any mechanic can knock it out.

Ouch! That's a hefty cost.

Put out a "feeler" for a good 4x4 shop in the SLC area.

Thanks!

ProDemand lists the labor time for replacing front shocks w/KDSS as 3.7 hours and rear shocks (w/o REAS) as 1.0 hours. Plus alignment. I'm not sure what REAS is either. Depending on your area labor rates can be $60 to $200 per hour.

XREAS is a linked shock system - it would add a ton of labor to the job (and would be deleting the system if 5100's were installed). Available on the 4th gen+ 4Runners and some other Toyota body-on-frame SUVs.

That looks like a nightmare lol thanks for the info. I would definitely be deleting all that.
