We are currently prototyping a stand-alone hatch ladder to work with (or without) our roof racks and rear bumper!

How are you solving the rattle problem with only one mounting point? How about the hitting of the rear hatch? Will it support mounting on left/right side?

Sorry, to clarify I meant stand-alone as in does not require a swingout. The prototype in the photo is not yet mounted. It will mount to the top and bottom of the hatch. The plan is to make it work on either side.

Looks great! Wish this would have been out before I ordered my C4 ladder as I am sure it'll work with the rear roof fairing once finalized.

It would be nice to just flip the top plate over to install it on the left or right side...

Aluminum or steel? Regardless, it looks great. May be in the market for one soon...

Thank you! Most likely steel. The thickness difference required to make it out of aluminum would make it about the same weight if not heavier.

Is there an ETA on when this will be available, and price point?

Globetrotter78 02-25-2020 02:52 PM

Looks good and a nice match to the rack system as well. PLEASE make sure it has suitable mounting points/capability for "stuff" (Rotopax, Maxtraxx etc)!!!

Looks neat.
