GOBI Roof Rack Accessories - whatchya got?
Hoping to get a solid single-source thread on roof rack accessories, best ideas, best practices, etc. I searched a bit but no luck so here we are. Doesn’t have to be GOBI specific though I’m sure mounting hardware won’t be universal.
Sure lights, but which ones and why? Wiring tips? Shovel / hi-lift mounts? Of course, but for less than the classic $175? Best full-coverage awnings for a full rack? Ladder mounts - flag carriers? Radio antennas? I know there are a lot of folks who - through trial and error - have some solid wisdom to share. |

I use the K9 MaxTrax Mount, which is not made for a Gobi rack, but it works incredibly great...

I use these too. They work great! I also have used a couple flatter cases that I bolted down. My rack came with the gobi tie down ratchets which work really well. I like them a lot. |

Found the Gobi Shovel/Axe and Hi lift brackets locally on Offerup. Still a few weeks away from actually getting my rack delivered :pray:
I plan on the getting Rotopax ladder mount brackets and bolt on steps. Any recommendations for a hard shell RTT? |
ARB awning mounts. That's likely the only attachments I'll be using. Perhaps Maxtrax mounts. Tie down system @ $190 seems a bit to steep for me.

For Traction Board mounts, I use and love the Yakima Traction Board Mounts. They are held down by straps that can be accessed quickly cinch down tightly. Love them.
