Universal Cargo Basket (Non Vehicle Specific)

4 Attachment(s)
We just released our Universal Cargo Basket. Designed to be used on whatever you can mount it to! (Truck bed racks, roof racks, trailers, stock roof rails,...etc.) Measures about 47"x47". Extremely handy for throwing otherwise loose cargo in and just strapping it down. (Firewood, bike tires, chairs, etc.)
  • Bolt together assembly
  • Coated in a 2 stage satin textured black powder coat over durable zinc primer finish
  • Includes assembly hardware and 4 T-bolts used to mount the basket (other mounting hardware may be necessary depending on application)
  • Made from .125" aluminum with extruded aluminum rails

Do you guys have any examples of folks mounting this as a roof basket on a 5th gen? Seems like it would fit my needs well (not looking to carry a ton of weight, but being able to organize some gear in dry bags or crates on the roof would be ideal). I'm sure I could rig something up to mount it to the factory side rails but if you have examples of how others have done it I'm really interested.

I haven't seen any examples of that yet, but I'm sure it could be done fairly easily with something like our stock rail crossbars. It may just have to be spaced up some to clear the top of the stock rails.

I am planning to buy your standard size roof rack for my 5th gen. I am looking at this new Cargo Basket Kit For those times I need sides for lose gear and wondering if it’s easy to mount on top of your flat roof rack. What kind of hardware could I use for easy on and off. Hope I’m explaining what I want it to do.

You can use our RTT mounts and t-slot stud kit. The t-slot studs will go in the rails under the basket and then bolt through the RTT mounts on the rack.
