Who cares? 5th gen is the last real 4Runner.

6th gen will be a "truck" for soyboy overlanders.

Somehow not the worst thing ever. Looks better on the runner then the bmw's. It's a 'kidney grill' not a damn dual torso grill.

What I found most interesting about that article was the comment about the next Land Cruiser being offroad focused with less emphasis on luxury and a lower price point. Finally, an LC that the rest of the world has had access to.

I have to say I truly love my 4Runner, but this could be a potential win...especially if they neuter the Runner.

"As for the iconic Land Cruiser, the U.S. model will reportedly be sold only with five seats as a “serious off-roader” without an emphasis on luxury. It will be heavily based on the next Tundra and offered at a significantly lower price, but its launch date is not known at this point."

Personally I would love to have a commercial 200 series like what the gov would order for special operations. I don't need 80k worth of truck.

If they can get it under 60k and with the roll down rear window I am in.

Oooh, this I can get behind.

Pretty much this...also assuming that it's also not some unholy "joint venture" with BMW, Mazda, or Subaru. Though it would be nice if they took some cues from Dodge / Ram on it (and maybe even the 4Runner if it survives). Like a true offroad package...not some yakima basket strapped to the top and calling it a day.
