I go through wheel cylinders like I go through socks
1990 4Runner, rear wheel cylinder leaking like crazy, buy new cylinder and install - begins leaking almost immediately. Get replacement wheel cylinder and install - 5 months later and its leaking again. Got replacement wheel cyliinder today and installed. Not putting that many miles on this vehicle. The brand they have been giving me is Raybestos. Today I ask if there is anything else - they say, thats the best there is. Really? Am I missing something? Is there some other problem the vehicle may have that is causing this wheel cylinder to fail? Any thoughts? Or, is it possible that Raybestos is just that bad?

Are you seeing normal wear on the front brake pads? Wonder if the front/rear bias is wrong? Too much pressure to the rear?

You might try OEM parts from a place like Lakeland Toyota. (aka toyotapartsoverstock.com). They have decent prices and great service. You can't beat the OEM Toyota parts for quality.
