And more expensive! Buuuuuut... wider?

2014Runner 03-10-2020 12:03 AM

It absolutely looks like a TRD wheel but improves on the styling IMO. Was just wondering if anyone is running it bc I’m struggling to find pictures.

One drawback is that it is 33 pounds

Brownfaux 03-10-2020 12:10 AM

They do look good, but if I saw someone on the street with them I would probably just go “eh, another set of pro wheels” and move on.

Of course, you buy wheels for you not me, I just like something that stands out more from OEM.

I've run the BR Overlands on my past truck. BRs are solid wheels, however they are HEAVY as SH*T. But these Ridges look good man.

I’m going to order them tomorrow :uzi:

I was quoted 190 a piece which is more than reasonable

17x8.5
0 offset

I believe they are offered in a more aggressive offset as well. Discount tire had the best price I could find on them.

Black Rhino Ridge

The wheels look great, but shiny for a Matt black finish.

Which offset is that -18 or 0 ? What size tires are those ? Lastly do you have a rear view pick so we can see the poke :-)

The tire size is 285/70/17 and the offset is 0

Lift is bilstein 2.5 up front and 1” corn fed rear. Debating to raise the rear on a coil to 1.5” but it looks good as of now IMO.

Hey, I am going to have the exact setup. I am curious if you have rubbing issues and do think you need to do the body mount chop?

Arnezie 05-16-2020 10:17 PM

33 pounds each !! How bad is your gas mileage compared to before these wheels ??

I just had a set of these put on my white TRD ORP, blacked decals, pro grille, if anyone is curious to see that setup. I verified with Black Rhino/TSW that you can actually put the TRD Pro center cap in these as well.

fashorunner 09-09-2020 12:15 AM

So far I haven't noticed too much difference between these and the TRD OR/trail wheels on my '19. I think they're both about the same weight.

Isn't that the same weight as the TRD OR/Trail wheels?

Im interested in seeing your setup. Did you fit TRD caps in them?

This black and blue color schematic you have here is [emoji91]. Looks clean.

So I've been looking at these and the Kelso.

The 17x9 with a -18 offset intrigue me but worried mounting 285/70/17 on them may look odd. Can't figure that out.

Did anyone get the -18 offset?

I currently am running Ridge Grappler 285/70/17 on the TRD SEMA wheels but really want something wider.

I will say, I've put close to 75k miles on that setup and it's time to get new tires so may replace wheels as well and mount them on something wider than the 7 on the stock wheels.
