Has anyone used these Westin Outlaw Rock Rails?

I already did a search and found nothing.

Typical sliders are pretty damn expensive; close to $1k to get the same look as these.

I probably wont really need the protection from rocks, but it would be nice to have some rocker protection when I do go off road. Plus, the step will help with my kiddos and short fiance, and the side view of the 4Runner looks kinda incomplete without something there, but I do not like the OEM Predators.

I also don't want to put cheap junk on my Pro and have guys snickering about my "sliders" when they see them.

Am I missing anything, or are these a really good deal and will do what I need for $336 shipped from Amazon?

These bolt to the body. They will offer protection against long grass, everything else will smash these into your doors and rocker panels.

They are for looks and to be used as steps, that's it. There's nothing wrong with that, just do not expect them to hold up against rocks or logs.

Thanks! I definitely overlooked that.

So does anyone make frame mounted sliders under $500?

Not that I've seen. Most brands start north of $500, and that's for bare metal and no tread plates... which I'm guessing is not what you have in mind.

Shrockworks makes plated sliders as well, they can be had with some negotiation with Mark if you call him. I paid $525 cash for mine, you can come drive down to Houston and pick them up if shipping is too much.

I got a pretty good deal on the Avid ones, so couldn't pass them up. My other choice was RSG, heard nothing but good things from them.
