New brake controller. Runs from an app but not required. Mounts seemingly in any orientation. No rewiring the tow vehicle except for adding the 7-pin. Hardware wise I think it’s excellent. App wise, I think maybe an update broke it... wondered if y’all knew anything about it. E-trailer demo-ed it on a 5th gen. On the fence just about the techy-ness of it. But since the app isn’t actually required, maybe it’s okay.

FWIW - I see these becoming common for RV rentals. They have them installed on the trailer and calibrated so the person renting can't screw it up. I think they're a great idea. There's no reason that there needs to be a switch on the dash for normal trailer brake use. Frankly - the entire trailer brake system and lights should all be wireless.
