MT Hybrid tire - Cooper STT MAXX, Toyo RT Or....

I'm stuck in a decision gridlock and hoping to get some guidance from the community..

Situation - I currently have Toyo Open Country AT II's and have hair line punctured two tires and I'm over it!

I'm going to switch to an MT / AT Hybrid tire. I started to go down the path of Nitto Ridge Grapples but after reading horrible snow reviews, I have decided to pass.

I am looking for a solid off road tire with descent on road mannerism. So fart all roads point to the Cooper STT MAXX (strange name). The only issue with that and any other tire in my size is that it will be in E load, unfortunately. Other than that, it seems to fit the bill.

My application is desert, mountain, some snow, on road, not too much mud... something with a solid sidewall with off road/snow capabilities.

I realize weight will be an issue with most of this type of tire. That isn't as much of an issue.

Looking tot he community for some feedback.

ST MAXX all the way...they are superior to the Toyos after a year! My Toyos felt like they became inner-tubes when comparing them for traction after just a year of wear & tear...the Coopers have been amazing after now even 4 years they still have traction and I have yet to puncture them...from my experience, the Coopers are a buy once, cry once situation...once you try them, you'll have a hard time going with others...

I have heard good reviews on the Falken Wildpeak MT's. I have the wildpeak AT3W but they are in a passenger tire. Next time will go Wildpeak MT's or ST MAXX

I have Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 285/70/17 load d. They aren't too loud and they're consider a All-Terrian and Mud-Terrian tire. The Goodyear also comes in different load.

I had ST MAXX in 255/85r16 on my 2013 Tacoma Regular Cab and loved them. I think I had 1 puncture from a giant screw with my last set, but there were countless times I was sure I'd destroyed a tire and they were perfectly fine. I was happy with how they handled mud, gravel, dirt, rock, snow, ice, and rain. Fully intend on the same size and tire for the 4runner, especially since I still have 2 full size spares
