Trail Edition Wheels TRD Center Caps (Spacers Required)

6 Attachment(s)
I bought some Trail Edition wheels that were missing one center cap. I had the idea at that point to try to find TRD or after market ones that looked more aggressive, to no avail I find a thread on here with someone that did a similar mod. They stated that they cut the tabs from the center caps and epoxy them to the wheels itself. I found a different way that worked well.

Before you judge me on my TRD caps, I have full TRD Off Road suspension from a 3RD Gen Tacoma 😎

Just epoxy the outer edge of the caps, push them into the spacer and let it dry.

Looks good. I don’t even use center caps on my TRD pro wheels. I wonder how the trail wheels look without center caps. I am sick of my pro wheels and I have been thinking about picking up some trail take off on CL.

Thank you, I wish the pictures were a little better quality. I bought these wheels for $100 on CL...bought them the day they were posted!

That’s good to know in case these don’t work out, the tread on your tires if very cool! How do you drive without rubbing?

That does look great. I think that is my next setup. I’m basically waiting until I get sick of my ko2’s, then I will pick up some trail wheels on cL and head to discount for some new tires. Thanks for the pic.

Thanks! That picture is with the rear just about fully flexed with the sway bar still on - Only thing that rubbed out back was the mud flap.

I've since trimmed it off:

Not compressed:

Plenty of room out back - the front required more work.

You're welcome! I much prefer capless (stock caps are horrendous) but I might try this flat cap painted matte black.

I had to move my old Sport Edition wheels and they feel half the weight of the new Trail Edition Wheels

Does anyone have pictures of this on a 5th gen

Where did you buy the TRD caps?

Nice looking 4R by the way!:thumb: I've been eyeing these wheels. Would love to see more pics from different angles of this latest setup

RUNOKC, What thickness wheel spacer are you running? Are your tires 265/70/17? I'm liking the stance.

2” Wheels Spacer, 265/70/17, Center Cap is part number PTR18-34071, I am actually thinking of removing the wheel spacers and will be thinking of a way to integrate the center caps without them.

Curious if you were able to integrate without the spacers. Like this look but I'm not currently spacers and dont plan to.
