Part of a mortgage goes to pay down principal which goes into your asset (the property). Also, you get a discount on income taxes most likely.
This tent doesn't get either of those benefits and instantly drops in value the moment you purchase it (even before it is used).

Still better cred than glamping in a $500K motorhome. It would be great on top of a $60K JLU Rubicon pulled behind a $500K motorhome though.
