New 3rd Gen owner in Nashville, TN
Hey internet people. I picked up my first 4Runner a few weeks back; a 2001 Limited in Glacier Metallic with 141k miles. I've owned a 2001 Tacoma for several years which I love, but it needs a bit more work than I care to do. The 4Runner is a huge step up in terms of comfort and options. Took it for a road trip last week and she did great!

(aside from the power antenna) Interesting color... The not-so-good: Interesting color... Very slight valve cover leak Power antenna doesn't retract Clear coat fading in a few areas Small dent in rear bumper A little overspray on rear bumper from hitch paint Steering has a little play (need to tac weld the shaft) Shimmy when braking at high speeds Future plans: De-soccermom-ify it! Tundra brake upgrade. Already have most of the parts Satoshi grill Projector headlight retrofit Wheels - probably Level 8 MK6's Remove running boards and install sliders Different front bumper. Will probably paint the stock one and run it for a while first. Front tint Slight lift. I want to keep it "mostly" stock because it gets pretty good mpg now. Stuff I've already done: Stereo headunit replaced Washed, clay bar, cleaned, vacuumed, removed stickers Replaced a few interior bulbs with LED's I'm open to suggestions on ideas to make it look a little more aggressive while not decreasing its comfort and gas mileage. My Taco suffered heavily in that department with lift and tires. I think the Satoshi grill, headlight retrofits, removal of OEM running boards, and wheels will help significantly. I'm having a hard time deciding on some appearance decisions because of the color. Can't find a lot of examples of others because it's so rare. i.e. what it would look like with the satoshi, what color wheels, black or silver retrofits etc... Super excited with this thing. Plan on keeping it as long as possible. |

Id make sure the steering wheel play is what you think it is.. could be a need to update other steering/wheel parts.
