what color do you wish you could get on a 5th gen?

we've all seen the polls that ask what color is your favorite, what color you wish they would bring back...but what color do you wish they would offer?

I wish I could have gotten Cement or Calgary blue with my TRD Offroad.

Several options, but here are two I'd like to see: a dark wine red metallic/pearl, and a copper that's a bit on the darker side.

Cement

Copper or General Lee Orange

This. My '91 pickup was this color and I loved it.

yellow

I love the cement, but being a big Oregon Ducks fan, yellow like you seen on some of the FJs would be totally dope.

I wish they had satin or matte colors like dark grey, light grey, black, silver or others. Just like these photos I took over 8 years ago at the Lexus presentation area during the SF Auto Show. These photos don’t do justice on how this Lexus LS looked in person.

Toyota Dune Beige.
That would be about the only color I'd consider selling for.

copper? really? :shudders:

Really durable matte quicksand. Like Duracoat (Polane-T).

White, but without the clear coat and paint mixed.

On the opposite side of the coin, I'm so tired of all vehicles being some bland metallic color (black, silver, tan, white). I get it is the least controversial resulting in more sales, but damn... everything is so boring. Bring back the color palets of the 50's and 60's. Personally, I never buy new, so I take what I can get, but if more colors were out there, there would be more of an intersting variety.

I agree with you on all the bland colors that auto manufacturers are pushing out and would love to see some of the retro color palets as you mentioned but realistically I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Unfortunately, we all gotta go with whats currently out there that serves the masses and maybe some exclusive colors like on some of the TRD Pros or just end up with a custom paint job or wrap.

Imperia Jade.
My biggest gripe when I was shopping for 5th gens is that the colors kind of all suck. Toyota has lost some of the great colors of the past.

The Slate Blue Pearl on the new Grand Cherokees would be a great color for a 5th gen too.
