How to tell if hood is OEM? URGENT
Hey guys,
I’m about to buy a hood with the hood scoop for my runner but idk if it’s OEM. Is there anyway to easily tell?

Toyota is stamped to the right of hood latch.

It will have "TOYOTA" stamped in the sheet metal on the underside of the front edge.

If it is original, it will also have a VIN sticker on it and emissions stickers.

Or a Toyota "R Dot" sticker in place of the VIN if it got into an accident early in life and got all new OEM parts.

Yup, it was the real deal. I picked it up for $160. I think I got a good deal!

Yup, can confirm that too... my hatch is an R-DOT part (replaced fairly early in its life due to a tree incident).
