Anyone know of a good mechanic around Harrisburg PA?

Hi everyone,

I got my 2000 4runner back in 2017 (with 217k on the clock). I was able to find one with little to no rust so I jumped on it. Smooth sailing ever since then! It now has 267k on it. Did the timing belt and water pump about 30k ago, which was the only major work I had done. Never had any issues with it.

I started losing a decent bit of coolant lately, so I was basically looking at having most of those old hoses replaced with new ones (new radiator + trans cooler as well.)

Unfortunately, my usual go-to mechanic busted his ACL and various other parts in a dirtbike accident. So he is out of commission for the next 2 months.

I tried calling the dealer to get a quote on this job (radiator + multiple hoses), and they said about 700 bucks and that was only for replacement of the radiator and upper and lower hoses. None of the extra hoses. My jaw nearly dropped.

I was just wondering if anyone in Central PA knows of a decent mechanic that I'd be able to basically give the parts I'd like put on, and have them do the work.

I'd be willing to tackle it myself, but I think I'd be in over my head just diving in on this project. Last time I changed my oil, it took me 5 hours. That is a story for another time!

When I replaced all my factory coolant lines when I rebuilt the engine it cost well over 100 for the hoses and new spring clamps. I would hate doing the oil cooler hoses with the engine in the engine bay.

If you want to go to Hershey the garage on the west end is good. But labor is labor. Say 70-100+ an hour.

I'm in Franklin county. I'm just a DIY guy but I might be able to help you with it if our schedules align.

What all are you looking to do besides the radiator and upper/lower radiator hoses?
