Canadian SR5 Bumper Swap
1 Attachment(s)
Wanted to do something a little different for the Limited. Swapped out to the Canadian SR5 bumper. Very similar to the trail but no plastic overlay. I also kept the fender trim white to keep the lines clean and mimicked the trail front end. All in all I’m in about $400 as I painted myself. Super happy with the look and don’t think anyone else has done it this way. Next up is to trim the rockers and slap sliders on.

This looks clean. Deff something I would do if I had a lifted/modded Limited.
Good to still some early 5th gen posts :thumb3: |

Looks good! I already have a Trail so I don't have the need to do this, but this looks really clean and sharp!

I had tried to do this when I had front end damage that required a new front bumper but the part was on 6months back order and my shop couldn't get it. Was it a direct swap or did you have to order extra parts.
Looks really good. I may attempt again if the need arise. Looks so much better than the US bumper. |
What year is your Sr5? I did a similar thing with my my ‘16 limited. Except opted for the trd bumper. Mainly because I plan to put a low pro winch bumper one day.

It’s a ‘12 Limited. I love the new front ends, but didn’t want to do the whole swap as it’s much more expensive with all the extra parts. You can still do a low pro on the OGs, I’m looking at the Victory Blitz bumper myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I bought these parts to make this happen, the bumper came from Amazon, and for paint, I started with a white base, then did duplicolor white pearl (070 code), then a few layers of clear. I trimmed my existing fender liners quite a bit with shears (whatever it works lol). The grille is from Toyota Accessories Guy. For the bumper portion (not including grille) I spent about $400 which is really doable.
