Another Splashguard

Just noticed today while checking the water level in my battery that the splash guard in front of the battery and just under and behind the headlights are all busted up. Has anyone come across this or have any info on it like part numbers or aftermarket suppliers?

Subscribed I would love an upgrade like rad rubbers side guards :cell:

If you’re talking about hard plastic wheel well splash guards, I have no idea if there are aftermarket upgrade alternatives.

But of you’re looking to replace the rubber splash guards with better then OEM, I’d recommend these...

4RUNNER (5th Gen 2010+) – Rad Rubber Design – FJ Fender Flaps, Toyota Engine Splash Guards

I have them on my rig, and I’m extremely happy with their quality, thickness and durability.

Edit: just noticed Mudballz mentioned rad rubber also

I just did the RAD Rubber Designs upgrade, this is not what he's referring to.

OP can you post a picture of what you're referring to?

If you pull off the front bumper, you will find another splash guard on each side. Sort of under/in between the headlights and the engine bay.

I also did the rad rubber upgrade just want more/better coverage I think we’re talking about the wheel well fitted hard plastic
I would love to see something in the tradition of the rad rubber

Skottydoes is correct. on my 2013 its just below the rear of each headlight. Looks like it can be replaced without pulling the bumper. I noticed how dirty the front of my battery was so I looked and found the splashguard torn to shreds on both sides of the vehicle. I'm attaching a pic on the passenger side.

Anyone?

I just purchased Ark Guards from the local shop here Chicago. They look like quality pieces as well.

The Ark Guards are nice and you can actually get a template for the splash guards you're talking about on this forum, if you search.

These are Not the Splash-Guards I'm talking about though. I'm referring to the guards in the engine bay, under the rear of the headlights.

Maybe I'll just take out what's left of mine and make a template to cut out my own since no one seems to have any info on them.

Have you tried to find using online Toyota parts diagrams?

97BlackAckCL 01-12-2021 05:40 PM

Here's a better picture with the bumper off, you can see this splash guard behind the plastic air ducts. It's just another sheet of rubber, I don't know of anything that's offered as a replacement, but I'm sure you could make one or get another OEM one pretty easily

Searched several Diagrams. Front bumper, radiator assembly, etc. Did not find anything. maybe I'm using wrong terminology when searching.
