Engine Bay Power Plant U.S. Pat. Pen. No. 63.167.432

Engine Bay Power Plant

U.S. Pat. Pen. No. 63.167.432

This power plant is being powered by the Auxiliary battery called Full throttle FT-750-35. It uses RedArc bcdc 1225D in-vehicle battery charger to keep it charged while driving, ensuring the auxiliary battery is charged to a proven 100%. The RedArc bcdc 1225D uses a multi-stage charging profile to ensure auxiliary batteries are charged to 100% compared to a Smart Battery Isolator/relay will only ‘top up’ the secondary battery as it focuses on the state of charge of the primary battery. RedArc bcdc 1225D has solar regulator, allowing you to charge from solar panels and blankets, lessening the load on vehicle alternators.

The BlueSea Safety Hub 150 is connected directly to the Full throttle FT-750-35 and distribute power to the following accessories:

• Switch Pro 9100
• ARB Dual compressor
• AlphaRex Luxx Headlights
• BlackVue DR900X-2CH 4K UHD DashCam
• weBoost Drive Reach OTR Cell Phone Signal Booster
• Dometic CFX3 75DZ
• Baja Design S8 40” LED Light Bar
• Warn EVO 10s
• MXT275VP4 Micro Mobileฎ Bundle
• KC Lights 50” Flex LED light Bar
• Baja S2 Pro, LED Driving/Combo, Amber Reverse Light

The 5 gang 100amp bus bar eliminates the needs to IGN fuse taps for the following accessories, thanks to Switch Pro 9100 hidden capability.

• RedArc bcdc 1225D
• AlphaRex Luxx Headlights
• BlackVue DR900X-2CH 4K UHD DashCam
• Baja Design S8 40” LED Light Bar

The main battery is solely used for the vehicle that eliminates the possibility of being drained.

An Engine Bay Temperature monitor is also installed to keep statistics of different environment to make sure that the system always reaches its full potential and its limitation.

I would like to thank the following company/people that gives me perspective and help to put together this design: RedArc, SwitchPro, BlueSea systems, (Instagram) Offgrid Engineering, (Instagram) Power Tray, (Instagram) Sdoffroundmt and last but not the least, my local Guy that helped me make this design a success and U.S. Pat. Pen. No. 63.167.432

Anyone from SoCal that want to be a beta tester at cost HMU. ;)

Does Las Vegas count as Socal? I'd beta test it

Yes Sir, As long as you can come for the install and pay for the materials at cost. :thumb3:

As a fleet manager, I see a lot of custom installation work, especially in police and fire equipment. That installation looks well-thought out and very clean. Great job! If I was at a point of needing a secondary power source, I'd definitely hit you up for some help or the install. Awesome work!!

Awesome - thanks for sharing.

I'm very interested in the temp readings your sensor is picking up. The Redarc is sensitive to heat and will throttle down / shut off depending on the temps.

130-175F --> de-rate output
175F+ --> shut off

Thanks for the comment Sir, Please check my IG & follow me: 4rtrdpro_am_hb

This is the reason why I installed an independent temperature monitor.
So far so good and plus it is the engine bay temperature, the RedArc has heat sink so it has to be accounted for.

I posted some stats in my IG and will continue to do so. That's why I am also interested for beta testers because I cant cover all types of application and environment.

Definitely, let me know if I can help.

VERY NICELY DONE!!!
I have a similar setup in mine, Redarc, sp9100, blue sea aux fuse box etc.
That said, yours is so much "cleaner" of an install than mine is.
Really like your use of the Blue Sea 150. Nice addition to the setup.
Again, very well done. Super clean and professional.
Amlor

Almost all of my trips are in the Mojave, so if your worried about the BCDC sitting in the heat of the engine bay like I was, you may want to consider using the Long Ranger Prado 150 Redarc mount available from Out of Town 4wd in Australia that mounts the Redarc in front of the radiator in the cool air. The same design mount is available from Redarc Australia, BCDC Mounting Bracket to suit Toyota LandCruiser Prado 150 | REDARC Electronics. The top mounts on the Prado 150 and the 4runner are identical, but you will have to relocate your horn. You may have to get creative with the bottom brace, but it amounts to drilling an additional hole in the brace. No temp worries, no temperature sensor necessary.

Thank you for the suggestion Sir, the purpose of the design is a modular system, more like Plug and play for guys that are not keen to install different mount and perform wirings, thus the reason of the test. I will keep on monitoring the temps in different environment and will update this forum and I do post it on my Instagram too. IG: 4rtrdpro_am_hb
