New Tire option for 2021- Mickey Thompson BOSS A/T

Coming from Nitto Ridge grapplers that have served me well.

Looks like another choice in the Hybrid AT/MT tire category.
Some great-sounding features on paper.

3peak snowflake rating
3 ply sidewall
Nice tread depth compared to Ridge grappler and New Toyo AT3's
Very intriguing size of 35x10r17
Priced around the middle of the pack

opinions? Anyone with pics on a truck?

Still looking into these. So far getting great reviews. Anyone have some Tall skinny tire pics on our trucks? I think thats the biggest hold back for me right now is whether or not 255/85/17 is "too skinny" looking. Im sure they perform great.

I really like my ATZ P3.

MT is a premium lineup for Cooper so they are said to have better compounds than Cooper branded tires, certainly so in ATZ P3 vs STT Maxx.

It has a great tread warranty (Boss) and the snow flake is a nice plus. The silica in LT is a big deal as well.

Looks really good to me.

Agreed, all the reasons this tire has my attention. Id really like to see what this 255/85/17 tire looks like on our trucks.. seems like a great compromise of height/weight but is it too skinny?

Just sourcing out the best price but it looks like I'm gonna go with this tire and this size.
Found some excellent pictures in the Skinny tire mega-thread on tacomaworld.com

Anyone else go this route? Id like to see more tall skinny's on 4runner pics.

Love the idea of these tires. That size seems awesome too. I should probably do y alignment work to get my 255/80r17 Wildpeaks off the body mount first xD

Kenda Klever RT tires are offered in the 35x10.5r 17 size also at a significantly cheaper price than the Mickey Thompson offering also, I would be interested in both of them, but have never ran the Kenda tire

Dude im so close, I want the tire.. my issue right now is stuffing that diameter tire is conflicting with the body mount, even with some pretty extreme chopping..

Took a break to get some water, but I just removed the shock and about to cycle it. I actually like the way they look on +15 wheels with no spacers. Still need to test them at full stuff, but because they're skinny, the body mount won't need to be as aggressively chopped like they would for a 12.5

this is at ride height and not fully turned because I was testing with a spacer on the other side and the tire was hitting something, so they will get closer at full stuff lock. I have LCAs all the way forward and SPC position F

The Kendas look great and ive heard great things about them!

Those SPC UCA's your running really help with that extra adjustment. I'm currently running the JBA high caster arms so I will need to figure that out
