The good
-Drives like it has ⅓ the mileage
-Engine is incredibly smooth and strong
-Transmission shifts flawlessly
-Extremely clean inside and out, especially for the age/mileage
-Brand new brakes (Powerstop pads and rotors) at all four corners
-Nearly-new 3rd gen Tacoma TRD Off Road suspension with MOOG FJ rear springs
-Many other new parts as listed below
-Wouldn’t hesitate to drive it across the country

The bad
-Could use an alignment
-Notorious V8 exhaust manifold tick is present (worst when cold, goes away slightly when warm)
-Notorious driver seat outer bolster tear is present (not too bad, can possibly be fixed)
-Slight crack on passenger side dash
-Wheels could use a re-balancing
-Rear wiper arm is missing
-Center console pop-open cubby is broken

The rundown
-Purchased from my friend (who was the 2nd owner) at ~268,100 miles in October of 2020
-Well-equipped Limited trim with heated leather/power seats, power sunroof, side/curtain airbags, factory navigation and touchscreen, etc
-Fluid flushes: Transmission, power steering fluid, and front and rear differential fluids all flushed and replaced since taking ownership. All fluids were very clean upon draining them.
-Idler, pulley, and serpentine belt replaced since taking ownership. A mechanic friend inspected the timing belt when we had the cover off to replace the aforementioned parts, and it looked to be in good condition (no cracking, fraying, etc.) but is likely due to be replaced soon.
-New cabin filter and engine filter
-New TYC CAPA-certified headlight assemblies installed 3/2021
-As mentioned above, brand new Powerstop brake pads, rotors, clip and shims at all four corners. Brand new caliper on the right front; left front caliper fairly new as well.
-Also as mentioned above, factory 3rd gen Tacoma TRD Off-Road Bilstein suspension installed 3/2021 including Energy bushings and MOOG FJ springs in the rear. X-REAS has been removed.
-USA Spec Bluetooth adapter installed 3/2021, which allows for streaming audio while retaining the factory head unit and steering wheel control functionality. USB charger was also added at this time.
-New rear driveshaft installed 3/2021
-LED reverse lights and interior lights
-Spark plug replaced since taking ownership
-265/70/17 Terra Grappler G2s present with substantial tread left. New spare tire.
-There is minimal rust present. All of such is purely, entirely, and wholly on the surface. It can be brushed off easily should you want, and the frame can be coated/repainted for prolonged life. There is no compromised structural integrity of the frame in any way. I wouldn’t have bought the truck in the first place if it had any concerning rust or frame issues. It’s not the prettiest, but it’s perfectly sound.
-Slight scuff on the driver side of the front bumper, and minimal paint chips from highway driving. Minor dent on the hood and trunk. Body otherwise in excellent condition. No rust on the body.
-No third row seat; factory movable cargo shelf present
-Oil changed 3/2021
-Everything works as it should
-I am now working from home and no longer need the 4Runner, hence the reason for sale

Between the way the truck looks inside and out and how it drives it presents as a much lower mileage and newer vehicle. It drives beautifully. Most people who have been in it with me have guessed it has <150,000 miles. I know I will regret parting with this 4Runner but it is simply going to waste not being driven and deserves to be put to better use. I hope it goes to a good home.
