These used prices are getting wild

If I didn't absolutely love my 4Runner I'd have sold it by now and made all of my money back and then some:

JTEBU5JR4K5710589 | 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro for sale in Bellingham, WA

JTEBU5JR5K5708107 | 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro for sale in Petaluma, CA

Yeah! It's totally nuts! I have a Voodoo blue PRO as well. At the time I bought it, there were several in the area and I got $4k off MSRP and only paid $44K. Right now, KBB has my trade value at $50K. Pretty crazy to drive it for 2 years and 22k miles and make $6K. The only problem is that you're going to pay top dollar for anything you replace it with. I've been wanting a truck but there's almost nothing out there, and what is out there, is commanding a ridiculous price so it's a wash. I'd rather have it back the way it was. Sure, you're not going to get these trade values but you'd be able to get a good discount on what you were buying and you'd have a lot more choice with inventories at normal levels.

I'm selling my extremely low mileage '16 to Vroom for more than I paid for it new.

I'm a little stressed about it so I hope it all works out.

My deposit on a '22 Pro is in already so hopefully I'll get it by the end of the year. I just wish they'd release the details about the other 4Runner models!

Everyone with a 5 year old or newer can clean up right now on vroom! Unfortunately on my 2010 Limited with 123,000 in excellent condition all the way around they only offered me $15,300

exact reason why i just went ahead and bought new. local dealer only sells at MSRP

No I'm going with MGM as I think I'd get tired of the Electric Lime after a couple of years.

Seen some rav4 prime xse's selling for 55-60k!

perf0rmance 06-03-2021 02:59 AM

if you find something you like to replace it with yes it is. I passed up on a 17 cement pro back in 17 after my wife bought her SR5 prem. She didnt want two of the same SUVs and we bought an audi as a work car. We both love the 4runner and she does want to keep it for the long haul. It is tempting to trade it in at 35-38k range basically what we paid.

trade for another S5 prem 3rd row
reasons I'd trade it in
LED headlights
new infotainment center (apple car play)

Current set up
blacked out (emblems , skid plate, roof rails painted)
TRD pro wheels and skid plate
TRO pro suspension

IF we keep the 17 Im probably installing a supercharger and LED headlights at some point

Crazy for sure even on other models used,I bought my 21 TrdOR for $39,700 a few of months ,Vroom offered me $45k but there is nothing I’d want to replace it with ,so I’m holding right where I am and happy I got in time before the craziness, 5 dealers around me have zero 4runners in stock ,lucky timing !

People are taking Home Equity Loans and buying stuff. "Free" money until you're up-side-down in your mortgage, loose your job and cant pay it back. No problem. Then you just walk away. Just like people did in 2008.

Seen it before at least twice in my lifetime.

Imagine what you could get for that 2017 Cement Pro right now? $50K would be possible

aweaver65 06-03-2021 11:10 AM

Agreed!

Yes, I stopped by the local dealer a couple weeks ago. My friend is the sales manager there. He told me I could probably get $65,000 for mine the way it's built right now.

That said, it's paid for and I'm not selling it. There isn't anything else out there I'd rather drive at the moment. If there was, I'd jump on it.

ahtoxa11 06-03-2021 11:14 AM

Sheesh, it looks like asking is 45k for my 2019.

Nah, not selling it. There's nothing out on the market now that I would rather drive instead.
