VSC OFF VSC TARC & Traction Control Lights

Got in my 05 4Runner and noticed 3 lights on (VSC OFF VSC TARC & Traction Control). I know there are a ton of other posts about this, but most of them include the check engine light or ABS lights as well. For me, its only these three.

I haven't done the calibration reset yet, but I have tightened the gas cap and re-connected the battery. I also used a scan gauge and its not producing any codes for me. The only thing that happened overnight was a rain storm, which is kind of rare for Utah. Not sure if any moisture triggered anything..

Any other suggestions?
I find it interesting that I only have these ones pop up instead of the usual ABS/ Check engine light.

As you mentioned there are several threads on this, some including CEL some absent CEL

After searching this before, it seems this issue is potentially related to at least 3 things (probably more)

1.) ABS sensor wire - especially if you have had recent suspension work.

2.) Brake switch

3.) Zero point calibration

I haven't dug further as to how to narrow it down, and am usually against randomly throwing parts at a car. Having said that #1 would only be likely if you had some work done, #2 is cheap and easy to replace, #3 is free

I *think* there is a specific way to pull ABS codes if #1 is an issue, but don't quote me on that.

This isn't comprehensive by any means, but I hope its a start!

Keep us posted

Well, I woke up this morning and started her up. No lights on..

They were on for 2 days and then cleared on their own

EDIT: If anyone else comes across this thread, I wanted to note the issue. My AC condenser was plugged and started to leak water onto my floor mat. I could hear sloshing when turning corners. I took an air compressor and blasted air through the rubber hose that exits on the firewall. Tons of water gushed out! TRAC lights stayed on for the rest of the day but then cleared.

Havent had them return since. Problem Solved!
