Light bar in the grill of 2020-2021 TRD Pro

Has anyone figured out how to put a light bar into the lower grill of the 2020-2021 T4R? I know we have that blackout spot for the sensors in the lower bumper now, so I’m trying to figure out what the rest of you have done to get a good light bar in there.

There used to be several companies who made 30” bars (some even come in pairs) for the lower grill, but that obviously changes with the sensor box.

I would like to hear what you guys/girls have done, and would love to see some pics of the install and a review of the effectiveness!

I had the same issues with mine. I have an almost new 30" Diode Dynamics Stage series bar that came out of my Tacoma and worked awesome, but that sensor panel in the center of the lower grill negated using that. So, I went old school and used a Rago Fab bracket to mount a set of Cibie Oscar driving lights - which I have yet to get a night shot of.

Would that DD 30” bar work in the upper grill of the TRD Pro? (If you wanted to mod your front end that is.)

I've thought about it. I've even gone as far as purchasing a used older upper grill that doesn't have the horizontal bar to block the light. Now I just have to find the time to see if the 30" DD bar physically fits up there.

What else are people using for light bars in the grill of the 2020 and 2021 T4Rs?

I like it!! What bar is that? How’s the light output? It is more fog or spot light?

its a budget 25" from amazon.
It does pretty good, been on for a year, no issues. I like that the amber and white can be separately controlled.
Mostly spot pattern. Good brightness.

I've seen that one, but didn't jump on it because if you look at the grill on my 2021, there's a fairly thick horizontal bar running all the way across that would block a significant amount of light.

If you look at the T4R in the DD picture, it doesn't have that bar and thus the light shines right through. Bummer.

Wayoflife just put some KC lights on one of their Jeeps. The light it produces looks impressive. The lights are not cheap. The Donut on their YouTube channel also compared cheap vs expensive lights on their Toyota Tacoma build. Cheap did great for $80. Expensive KC lights did an excellent job.
