Anyone using Soronan's Rear Sway Bar Bracket?

So I saw that Soronan had a relocation bracket for the rear sway bar and bought it out of excitement... Looking at it in person though I am not really sure how to install it. I mean I think I do but a photo would be helpful lol.

Anyone using it?:keyboard:

What is the consensus on using these for a ~2 rear lift? (OME 890s)

Would that raise the sway bar too high? I am trying to figure out the best combo of link length and bar height to clear the e-locker.

Should the sway bar arms ideally be parallel to the ground?

Sway bar should be flat as practially possible. Issue with longer links is hitting the LCA at full stuff. I went back to Stock links with my 1.5 inch rear spacer lift. I am running stock links with 906 rear springs right now. I also have an E-locker.

Do you have a Panhard Correction? That is going to be more important to control body sway as it centers the axle and prevents the bucking or rolling of the rear in turns.

Mine's a 2" lift and this setup works fine. The sway bar endlink is not perfectly perpendicular to the mount on the frame (b/c the bracket moves the bar toward the back of the truck a bit) but I don't think that matters so much. The sway bar is pretty flat and is unable to impact any other suspension parts.

@shadow247 good call on the PHC kit as I currently am still on factory points.
I'm not sure I need both ends altered, but anything to make it more level can only help.

@JZiggy thanks for the info on lift height clearances. I've been kicking around too many
ideas involving cutting and re-welding mounts and other diy bracketry nonsense...

Not the greatest pic but you can see it in one of my posts. It is intuitive how installs once you are looking at it.

I just took my brackets out. They put the sway bar links at a really poor angle, like this (look at the bushings!):

Without the relocation brackets, the geometry is much better:

The only advantage I see to these relocation brackets is that they create more clearance between the sway bar and the e-locker actuator. But then again, a lift does not change the arc in which the suspension travels, only the resting position - so if Toyota thought that there is enough clearance at factory height, that should still hold with the 2" lift (it's the same as 2" of suspension travel from stock).

If you shorten the link that misalignment is less severe. My links are a bit shorter than stock and it's not so dramatic as that.

True, I can see that - but it's still not perpendicular to the bracket, the bushings are compressed at an angle. And did Sonoran say to shorten the links? That seems like above and beyond what most folks would do. I'm somewhat struggling to understand the point of this relocation, maybe I am missing something.

worked good for me when I did a 3 inch lift on one of my past rigs. got the bar away from my e locker stuff, I think i even used stock links...well maybe not...its been a while..something like stock front links from a 2nd gen...i dont remember

From their website:
"You MUST use stock length rear 3rd gen 4Runner end links. Those are actually a bit too long already so your longer than stock links are not going to work."
"We have ONLY tested this part with the front coils from an FJ80 Land Cruiser. I have no clue if it will work with other coils. We have not tried it with anything else."

I interpret that to mean that you need about 3-4 inches of lift in the rear and stock links for the geometry to be good.

That sounds right. My stock length rear links, combined with a 2" lift, created the terrible geometry I showed above. And @JZiggy 's setup worked with a 2" lift and shorter than stock links.

So yes, I can see this system working with stock rear links and a 3-4" lift.

No affiliation what so ever, but the overland custom designs links sure work really well, and are adjustable if another option is needed.
