King Shock help
So, I've got remote resi kings up front on my 2007 v8 limited (no KDSS). One of the springs is broke (low down, it's been broke awhile and isnt an emerging issue) but it's time to do something about it before winter (Wisco).
Do I replace the spring only? King says I dont have to do both sides. or should I rebuild the shock while I've got it apart. Anyone done their own rebuild on a coilover (King or otherwise)? It's a DD so the room I have to send the shock out for rebuild is limited (before I have to put the motorcycle away for the season) Thoughts? TIA |
Any leaks from the shock? How many miles do they have on them?
If you rebuild 1 you should rebuild the other. |
No leaks that I’ve noticed. Agreed, rebuilds will be as a pair.

I put over 40k miles on my 5th gen before I rebuilt them. The only thing is if there has been undue stress put on the one w the broken spring, you may want to get it done.
If there are no leaks, then you may be good for awhile. |
