Picked up new 2023 Limited

After waiting 3 weeks for a dealer ordered 2023, I finally picked it up. Black on Black with few options....high perf. fog lights, all weather mats and cargo cover. And an unexpected bonus of a heated steering wheel. Haven't had a 4R since 2016 but just retired and looking to do some exploring but not hardcore wheeling, hence the Limited. Good to be back on the Forum and look forward to the interesting discussions ya'll have.

I have a 2022 twin. Cool news Re heated wheel. First question: did they improve the quality of the backup camera?

The market is definitely shifting. Only a three week wait. Soon the lots will be overflowing with cars again.

Yes I heard from a friend at a dealership that sales are slowing down due to a combination of inflation and higher interest rates. This will most likely continue. However, there is a high chance that China will invade Taiwan with in a year. If that happen, Taiwan has threaten to scorch earth their chip factories. That will drive up prices again.

Congrats on the new ride! The three week wait is encouraging.

I'm talking with a dealer now and they finally dropped their "market adjustment," but they're still holding out on the other BS fees so it may be a while for me.

Nice - I have been waiting for my ORP for about 3 weeks too. Days away now - supposedly.

Is your Limited 4x2 or 4x4?

Congratulations! Looks great!

It is 4X4 that is needed to get up the hill I live on here in WV during the winter. No real mods planned other than maybe a few dress up items for now. With a bum knee, shoulder and neck, the wheeling and modding days are behind me. I was looking for a comfortable, reliable, get me home vehicle and this is it. A major factor was fulfilling a bucket list item of driving to Alaska which I am planning for now come next June. Strictly a Toyota man as you can see by my signature

True. With a weak America, China feels emboldened. Could happen.

The dealership had a lot more inventory on the lot, mostly Camrys, RAV4s and Tacomas. I asked the salesman if they were getting more inventory and he said no just selling less due to the economy slowing down and rising interest rates scaring off most. 3 weeks ago when I reserved this one they had maybe 10 vehicles and now have at least 30 including a Solar Blaze ( I think...orange) TRD PRO 4R.

Congrats! Looks great.
