Can I run 285s with 1” rear springs

Hi all,

Just ordered 285 ridge grapplers and 6112/5100 to go on in a couple weeks.

I already have the 1” bilstein b12 springs but I’m having second thoughts on if I will scrub.

I’d like to not have to chop or hack away at my 4Runner.

Will I need to get 1.5” or 2” or will these suffice.

I do 99% of my mileage on road.

Thanks

Those springs and shocks won't make any difference on what size tire fits.

Meaning what? I thought a higher lift in the rear plus the front being higher with the shocks would allow me to run a larger tire?

Am I missing something?

I was actually reading some of your comments on another thread regarding Ironman suspension kits. Have any recommendations for someone like me preparing to get their first lift kit?

I want to run 285s with the most comfortable ride and ideally low maintenance. I don’t do any off roading. I don’t need anything high end like king but want something right in the middle.

basically they are saying u can run whatever size 285 you want in the rear stock, lifted, slammed, etc. Putting big tires in the rear isn't the problem.

What kind of roof rack and raptor lights?

Until you start moving the bump stops and ball joints, all you are doing is changing your static ride height, the wheel travel is all the same.

So will I be good to run 285s? I’m not quite following unfortunately.
