Lucky for you, otherwise you would be doing the job again in a few months. I believe there are a couple of site sponsors that are OEM dealers and have good pricing.

Do you need a motor or regulator? They are separate parts from Toyota, regulator being around $130 and motor $300ish.

eh. i put an oreillys regulator/motor assembly in my silverado and it was fine for years. I've replaced an extensive amount of parts on multiple chevys and dodges with various brands from oreillys and never had any issues over thousands and thousands of miles. If I was buying steering or suspension parts for the 4runner, i'd be looking for OEM, but for a window regulator, I really don't give a shit.

I just need the regulator. one of the cables frayed. the motor is fine.

I use the Toyota Parts and Accessories - Official Online Store link to make sure I have the right part number, then I Google the part number to see who has the right price. I've found you can sometimes get a good price from a Toyota dealership for an OEM part. I have ordered from dealerships in many different states. You can also look on Amazon and eBay using the part number. A lot of dealerships and parts stores sell them that way too.

This is what I do. One advantage of the Toyota official on line store is they have free shipping to your local Toyota dealer for pick up there; good for those larger items that may cost a fortune to ship.

And they are fast, usually arrive from the regional warehouse in just two to three days.

Check out Village Toyota in Florida. If you spend over $75 you can get free shipping. Their pricing is usually a bit better than most as well.

thanks guys. the local dealer had one. it was a little more money but I bought it anyway so I wouldn't have to wait a week, which was the minimum ETA I got from all the online places.

for future purchases, check out RockAuto as well. Good prices, fast shipping

I basically do what ArthurKotb does and I shop a lot on Rock Auto. I do some part shopping on Amazon but you need to be careful shopping for car parts on Amazon.

Be very careful on Amazon as I hear they have a ton of counterfeit parts.

The price difference isn’t worth getting knock offs or the headache of inferior parts that will leave you stranded.

Totally agree. If I buy off there I check the seller against their address, then look for them with Google Maps. I've not had any problems. You have to be very careful these days. The good thing is that Amazon has a 30 day return policy, so you need to check what you ordered right away and not put it aside or you might miss the time limit.
