How many of you with stock 4Runners go without running boards?

Curious. Cant make up my mind if I should ditch them. If you have pics of your stock 4Runner without Id love to see them.

BUTTT i just bought a pair of smittybilt tube step bars off ebay for 100 bucks so those will be replacing the stocks.... if you are interested there are a lot more on there (at least last week there were)

Lucky me, my 2003 never had them. Seems like this should still be optional and not forced on you.

The running boards and grab handles are just two of the many reasons I purchased my 4Runner.
Having elderly parents in their 80s and 90s can make one look at things like that.

Took mine off my 06 sport . They looked nice , but were crap collectors on mud and snow. I also have long legs so they actually get in the way. I like the look much better with them off than on.

The trucks , even the 3rd generations are low IMO , I really don't know why they put them on. It's not like trucks are high and hard to get into.

I took mine off but did put them back on once - can't remember why? but took them off again. Only 6 bolts. Not a big deal. I would suggest take one off and see if you like the look.

the stock running boards from my 06 Sport are coming off this weekend and I'm finally putting on my Shrockworks sliders. If anyone is interested in purchasing the take-offs, PM me. They are in excellent condition.

I think it was about 3-4 weeks, maybe faster. It was a great all around experience dealing with Shrockworks. I know some have waited several weeks, but that's the price we pay. The quality is awesome, the price is reasonable and I seriously appreciate the fact that they listened to and supported T4R owners when they designed the front bumper. I got that too. ':)'
