Fitting 285/45/22?? Must lift? Or can I use spacers in the front???

I'm planning on putting 285/45/22 tires on my 07 4 runner, but I need it to be at least level. I really just want to get .75" to 1.25" spacers but will that be enough? I know I also have to zip tie fender liners away from the tires but will spacers be enough height wise? I just want the truck to sit level. Its either spacers or cornfed but I wont have this truck in 18 months and I dont feel like uninstalling a cornfed, I'll leave the spacers in if anything. LMK!!

Whats the spacing on the rims, depending on that you might not need spacers although you probably will.

i have 285's with an offset rim and had to lift and trim... what is the overall height of the tire???

MercuryEvo 05-18-2009 10:21 AM

What do you mean offset rim? What offset are your rims? 285/45/22 breaks down to a 32" overall diameter if my memory serves me correctly.

My rim has 4.5" backspacing. Meaning it is shallow enough no to rub on the inner components of the drive assy. Annd my over all height is a 33" tire.

like i said, pm fo sheezy, he has 22s on his ride, i believe hes one of only a few that have that large a rim size. im pretty sure hes running 285/45/22 & im sure he can help you out . good luck
