Where to begin?

Okay, after getting totally sucked into this site and making a couple of minor mods, I've fallen back into the habit of wanting to make performance mods. I thought after ditching my Accord for an SUV, this would problem would never rear its ugly head again, but I digress...

My main concern is should I begin with replacing the intake, headers, and exhaust like I would on a sedan or are there any special considerations I will need to taking into account because of the different engine size and performance that the engine was originally designed for. If so, can someone clue me in before I jump into mods and have blue smoke pouring out the rear end of my truck?

Thanks a lot fellas for making my bank account balance dip lower and lower and lower...

i'd say go with the intake first, that seems to be where you can most readily free up hp/tq in a toyota. after that the thottlebody spacer is a relatively inexpensive mod. my dad stopped upgrading his taco there and it runs great. i added the exhaust ontop of that for a little more performance and a great sound. i'd like to get some headers as you mentioned but @ around $900 for trds, i think ill wait
