What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

Just curious what everyone paid before tax and license and what options?

2005 SPT V6 01-21-2005 02:20 AM

I'll start, I paid 29,700 before tax and license. 32K out the door! I know every state or country pays different fees. My options are in the sig.

Like 32 out the door. That was Oct 03 and it's an 04 model.
Only have 9 months left so less than 2 years and if clean.

chunderboy 01-21-2005 03:23 PM

3000 down and 370 a month for a fully loaded sport edition 04. 39 mths and 15 thousand a year

krosno3 01-21-2005 03:36 PM

29,053.00 before taxes and license
All options and date of purchase included in signature...
I think that there are different prices for same models in different states. I bought mine in Illinois

My loaded 03 Limited, around 40k, MSRP was 43k and I got an extended warranty, I paid 1300 over invoice, got it when suddenly everyone decided to buy a 4Runner, last V8 with Nav:)

Now just add in the interest:(

I paid $35,000 out the door. Sticker was $43,900 for mine. It had 8,000 miles and was a dealer demo unit. IMHO that is the BEST way to buy a new car. The title had not changed hands so I got new car financing on it, new car insurance everything was as if it was brand new to me, exceot the price. At the time the internet pricing fro my truck was $37,700 plus tax/license, which was as cheap as you could get them.

Update: 04 Limited 4x4, V8, Nav (NV), Rear double tray cargo system (Z1), rear cargo nets(Z1), Floor Mats (Z1), factory chrome exh tip (E5), CD changer (P9), hood protector (HP), Rear Spoiler (RF), Side Curtain Airbags (GY)

agree with previous post. In Dec -04 dealer had 3 LTD with about 5K on each. 2Blk 1Wht. Quoted price of 31K. Couldn't pull the trigger, was looking at used in the low 20's.

Ended up buying used -04 SR5, 29K for $22.5.

$38,600 out the door for my '04 LTD V6 4x4 (loaded w/o NAV; sticker was $39,160 pre-tax) purchase on labor day (May). Could've gotten it for 'bout $100-$200 less or at least some wheel locks and/or all-weather mats, but I got fed up w/the sales guy and took the offer. $0 down, 'bout $1100/mo for 36months.

olliebear 01-21-2005 07:33 PM

$32.6 OTD

Told them I don't care how you play the numbers. Got it $32,600 out the door in Oct 04. MSRP was $32,000 and Stealer had 3 SR5 on lot left.

Could have grounded them down a bit more, shopped every weekend for a month, haggled hours till dawn, played one dealer agaisnt another, and some folks like that, but I can't stand it. If it's pretty close to target price based on my research, then it's good to go.

The salesman was very, very straight. No pressure, not even talking about buying until we got back to the dealerhip, then told us he would leave us alone for a while nad he'd come back to talk if we wanted it. I did not mind giving up a few bucks for a salesman like that. Interesting enough, his "no pressure" attitude seemed to be working like a charm that day. He had at least three customers signing up that day. He was busy going through another car's initial orientation with one family while I had to wait for him to get back, then he was signing another while my car was being prepped. Another salesman started complaining that he's taking all the sales and that ain't the way it works!

Of course, I wouldn't be driving a 4Runner if the Dodge dealer wasn't playing games when I had called ahead and spent 2 hours there getting jerked around even when I wanted to buy a diesel Ram 3/4 ton right then and there and was ready to sign if the price was right........left the Dodge dealer after 2 hours and said F-it, let's go to the Toyota dealer. Had the car in two hours from start to getting the keys. 4 miles on the odometer when I took it for the test drive.

$25,998 before taxes and license fees. Options were Appearance Package, Moonroof, Roof Rack and Carpet Mats. Ended up being a little over $28,400 after tax, license and other fees. They weren't discounting the ones with the apperance package as much as the ones with the cladding, but the only reason I decided on a 4Runner was because they started offering the appearance package.

I too didn't feel like negotiating, so I just emailed every dealer close to me and went with the most "decent" deal, no time spent on negotiating. I just went in, took a test drive, signed the papers and was done. Also got 1.9% financing.

$37,000 out the door for my V6 Limited. It was a hard time, and X-mas eve 2002.

techjockey 01-21-2005 10:48 PM

Don't recall the exact price - but as I recall I paid midpoint between MSRP and Invoice on December 2003 for 2004 Limited with Sunroof, premium sound, air suspension and towing package. Deal closed 6PM, December 31, 2003. Purchased for tax purposes...

C$39,700 for a 2004 in October 2004 - 700 over dealer invoice (MSRP C$43,400). Was a SR5 with what they call the B Package in Canada - 3rd row of seats and a few extras over the base model - they had to source it from another local dealer to get the colour and package I wanted. Did it thru carcostcanada.com - no haggling, no hassle.
