Article says V8 in 2012, BS?
Unsure who or where this article is from but it states that the 2012 will offer a 4 cylinder, a 6 and an 8. BS?? Doesn't appear to have much to back it up though. Thoughts?

That looks like a really credible news source.

Here is another article that mentions the V8 as well...maybe from someplace other than the US???

This is not true as the article says it will be a 4.7 V8. The 4.7 was discontinued and replaced with the 4.6 in the Lexus and Tundra trucks.
|
Maybe they meant that Toyota is putting in the 5.7L engine and it was a typo?? All kidding aside, I don't believe those sources. The 4.7L engine is no longer used and would more than likely not be put in the 5th gen 4Runner.

Not to mention the horsepower and torque is wrong that was a previous V6

But but but, it says so on the Interweb, so's it must be true, right? :lmao:

"...hold back airbags on the factor that responsibility cast if the means is about to beans now."
I was dying reading this.:wtf: |
As much as I would like a V8 option when I show up to buy the TE in 2012, its hard to believe the V8 and 4 cylinders would be back so quickly after Toyota removed them.

Agreed. I have a black 2010 sr5 and a bunch of mods I *want* to do, but I'm holding off modification too far from stock (aside from adding a navigation head unit) until I get a look at the mid cycle refresh. I'm hoping for a v8 option on at least one trim package, and hopefully blizzard pearl for the trail edition. Those 2 things are the biggies for me. All the rest I can change or plan to. But I think a v8 blizzard pearl trail edition would get me to trade in a heartbeat.

It's absolutely true. You can be the first one to have a V8 if you give them your credit card number for a security deposit.:lmao:
