Nice site. I noticed that the site states commercial/licensee groups can start ordering MY2008 4Runner and Tacoma starting this month.

Has the VIN configuration changed for 2008?

Thanks,

wrihar 05-06-2008 05:04 PM

The vin decoder at http://fleet.toyota.com/html/50/vin_decoder.asp has not been updated since 2006 (as that is the last year in the file).
Someone at Toyota Fleet should update this ... but you can do it yourself if you know how to use a text editor. Save the vin_decoder.asp on your computer and edit it. Unfortunately, unless you post the vin_decoder.asp file on a web site no one else can use it. There are other changes besides the year because they have added different engines, body types etc. These items are in the owners manual.
