Sunroof auto open and close just stopped working???.. HELP

What is the deal im so steamed .... It worked when i first jumped into the truck and opened it up for some air. I finish my drive and i go to close it and it doesnt Auto close. I have to hold the button down to close it. Additionally, when I hold it to close it, it goes right passed the close point and continues to open it the other way. It was driving me nuts cause I couldn't tell whether it was closed or not. Anyone ever have this problem before? I guess im going to have to take it in on wednesday... :cursin:

Any suggestions?

I'm guessing it needs to be reinitialized. It can happen, especially if the power has been cut.

The detailed instructions are on the TSB database (go to the NHTSA web site). As I recall, it just takes holding the button down all the way open, then closed -- a full cycle. I'd offer better advice but I'm sitting in the Chicago Admiral's Club waiting on s flight.

Try this before taking it to the dealer.

Chuck,
Don't take it in on Wednesday, you probably have the same problem I had a few weeks ago. I did exactly what the manual said and it fixed it:

Press and hold so the window is closed.
Now press and hold it to tilt position BUT do not let go of the button.
If this works, you will hear it go into tilt position, then reposition. Once you hear that reposition it should be back to normal.

That's the best way I can explain it, the manual did a much better job than I did.

NP man, I enjoy helping others.

I am not sure why it happens, but it has happen to me twice so far. My only guess is it might have something similar to do with the fix as to why it breaks. Maybe at some point we are holding it too long, hence turning off the auto feature.
