well they've worked in the past. Last winter with all the snow/ice here, they would work. Unless I was hallucintating!

A couple months ago my back window stopped working. I opened up the hatch door and had a look around, and tested the fuses but nothing was out of place. My problem sounds a lot like yours except my back wiper fluid works. and so does the defroster. but the window and the wiper are both not functioning. I didnt mind it much but now that winter is coming around i kinda need to see out of the back window. any suggestions? or will i have to resort to a dealer?

Thumbs up Love Toyota's

And there I was thinking there was something wrong with my 04 runner. This site is a lifesaver and saved me a lot of time and stress getting my wiper and defrost working again now that winter is on its way.

Just about to go on road trip too.

Glad you shared this fix with us all. It would have been a rough road trip without this fixed. Thank you so much for the solution. Saved me a bunch of money and time not having to go to a mechanic.

Have a great Holiday!!!

Just noticed my rear wiper not working the other day in the snow. Figured I'd look at it at some point but just hit the up button today. Fixed!

Rear defrost issue

My issue is a bit different. I have a 2000 4Runner SR5. If you hit the rear defrost button twice the rear window roles down automatically, once you role it up you have to hit the defrost button to get it to stay, and if you turn the car off it roles down. Plus, the rear wiper doesn't work unless the defroster is on. If you open the rear door when you close it the rear window automatically roles down. The window goes up and down fine as long as you don't use the rear defrost button. I need help! This is really weird!
