I started my 2011 toyota 4runner with 56k miles on it and I saw that the Center differential lock indicator and Slip Indicator with Check engine light are displayed in dash board. I scanned for error codes and it reads; multiple cylinder missfired, Open or short in REAR speed sensor LH/RH Circuits and Engine control system malfunction. I replaced all spark plugs, replaced the engine Air filter and completely drain the tank of gas and cleaned it dry before refueling. Started car again and light came up on dashboard even while still in parked position without moving car. Anyone with idea on what could be the cause?
That "open/short in rear" code is an ABS code. No oxygen sensor will trigger that. I've seen a couple 5th gen's that needed that rear ABS sensor harness that goes from the body to the differential and speed sensors on each rear wheel. The trucks were stock too.
