Popping noise from window

Lately, when I roll down my driver side window, I hear a popping noise when the window is half-way down. It still rolls completely down though. Does anyone have any ideas for what's going on? It's got me a little worried, since I've been out of warranty for a while now...

Does it hesitate when it makes the popping noise? First thought is that the control arm inside the door is catching on something.

It's hard to tell; it MAY hesitate for a very brief moment. I'll try to pay more attention, but I don't want to roll it down any more than I have to. Maybe I just need to get the guts to take the interior panel off. I've been needing to do it to the other side to fix a rattle, but don't quite trust myself to not break anything.

Worst damage I've done to an interior panel was breaking a couple of the clips that hold it on.....it was on a Camry, IIRC. But there were plenty of other clips to hold the panel on afterwards.

Open the door trim and watch what happens when you roll the window up and down. You should be able to see what is happening
