Seatbelt warning light ALWAYS ON

Hello everyone, i’ve been searching online and came up short with help. My issue is I have a 2020 TRDP and for the last 2 days i noticed my “chime” for my seatbelt has been going off with a blinking warning light on the dashboard. After the chime is finished it stays at a solid light. (Yes with my seatbelt properly buckled)
I have no modifications done to bypass the seatbelt since that has been the only thing i found online.
I wonder if this is something old and a quick fix that someone has accomplished or this is something new and the dealer should have a look.

thanks in advance

UPDATE: Passenger seatbelt has to be harnessed in for the light to go away, ODDLY the chime will still continue if there is no passenger. BUT with a passenger harnessed in, the PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF light is illuminated .

Do you have any weight on the passenger seat? If so, it may be detecting you have a passenger in the seat with no seatbelt on.
Also, if I am carrying something long and heavy(Roll of carpet)and if I have the passenger seat reclined with weight on the headrest, it does it sometimes.

You’ve got something weird going on there. I’d take it to the dealer to figure out.

Just take it in and have it checked out for piece of mind… I don’t like any funny business with the safety or restraint systems.

UPDATE 2.0 lol.

i scheduled an appointment with the dealer this morning. (just dropped it off)
-Yesterday i decided to detail the truck and clean it up. In the process I UNINSTALLED the pedal commander.
This morning when i drove it to the dealership the truck was as good as new.
Pedal commander hasn’t been tampered with or damaged since i installed it (about a year now)
I dropped it off at the dealership regardless to make sure there’s nothing wrong with it electrically wise, but now the PD has me concerned.
Will update soon

i ran into this issue too. had the exact same symptoms and only way to make the beeping stop was to buckle up the passenger.

figured id chime in on the solution. it was because my back seat was down and the passenger seat was too far back causing too much pressure from the rear seat being folded down and pressing into the passenger seat. moved the seat and that fixed it lol
